Our mosaics exhibit includes a presentation about the history of mosaic artwork over time and includes a variety pictures to show students how it was used in various cultures around the world. After the presentation, students will get to create their own artwork to keep.

  • Marine Mammals

    Marine Mammals- PreK-2nd With our presentation, students learn the characteristics of a mammal, and then focus on marine mammals. Students will also create a mosaic craft to take home.

  •     Lewis and Clark

    Lewis and Clark- 1st-3rd Students will learn a bit about the journeys of Lewis and Clark with a focus on animals and plants that the explorers discovered about and shared with others. Students will participate in activities where they will be the explorers and learn about some plants and animals and record their findings in their own log.

  • The History of Toys

    History of toys 1st-3rd Students will see a presentation about early toys as well as see some familiar ones. They will make their own version of the earliest toys known to historians as well as put together a toy to decorate and keep.

  • The Five Senses

    5 Senses: PreK-1st Children will learn about their five senses by testing them at five stations, each representing on of the senses. Students can try out a microscope, create music, figure out what an object is without looking, sniff out some familiar items, and test their taste buds.

Hearing table-visitors have the opportunity to use various instruments and household items to create sounds Sight table-visitors experiment with kaleidoscopes, a microscope, binoculars and other visually 
stimulating objects
Smelling table-visitors test their sense of smell using herbs, spices and other common household products Touch table-among other tactile-stimulating 
materials, visitors use foam blocks
